Tropical Flava at 2396 Ingleside Avenue, Macon, Georgia.

I loved Tropical Flava! I tried it when I was visiting Macon recently and loved the place. The food was terrific and plentiful, the surroundings were lovely, and the staff of this family-owned restaurant were as helpful and pleasant as they could be.

I ordered the escovitched fish and, when asked how large a fish I wanted, ordered a small red snapper which came out perfectly cooked. I know from personal experience how hard that is to do in a busy restaurant on a Friday evening! And, even with a small fish, my order was far too much for me to eat, so I ended up taking half of it with me. Here's how fresh the fish was: I reheated and ate the leftovers tonight after 3 days of refrigeration; everything was still delicious and the snapper was not at all dried-out!

Almost forgot: the housemade cucumber juice was so good that I would have liked to have taken a gallon home!

I will definitely go back when I return to Macon. What a great restaurant!
